Newberry - a great small Southern town
Newberry, SC is a wonderful example of a small southern town. The architecture recalls times long past, and the people are just about as friendly and hospitable as they come. It's a great place to go for a weekend getaway, and the shopping is one of my favorite things about it!

Downtown Newberry, like many other small towns across America, has it's fair share of antique stores, and if you're in the market for something with a history, you've come to the right place. However, a take a quick look around Main Street, and you'll soon discover that Newberry has much more to offer than antiques.

I love to start at one end of the street, work my way down one side and back up the other. A stop at Elizabeth's on Main is a good idea early in the day, before lunch. They have some beautiful high-end clothing, and the ladies who work there are so helpful. Another place that's worth a peek is Armfield's Office and School Supply. Don't be deterred by the name.
